Snowy Sunday Wrap!

7 02 2011

Hey Church! Those of you who were able to get here for church know that we had a great Sunday! Not sure why, but sometimes those storm days and lower attendance days are the times when God does something special. It was fun! Here’s the wrap-back:

– First of all, a HUGE shout out to the ladies and the Uprising Conference!!! At least 130 women seiged this place for Jesus last Friday – Saturday. We are hearing many awesome reports and we’re already planning for next year. The church looked awesome, the worship was awesome, I heard that Natasha Erskine did a great job, and it was just a solid time of ministry. Woooo!

– We’ve had a lot of snow this winter, but not on Sundays, until this Sunday! It was white out at 7:30 a.m. and most churches in the city were cancelling. We decided to go for it and 230 people were glad that we did. 🙂 We had 100 at 9:30 in the morning which was really quite something considering what it looked like outside.

– We had a really powerful time of ‘unplugged’ worship. LOVE hearing you sing and seeing you respond to Jesus!

– I preached the message for the fourth week of our Guardrails series: Accountability/Community. We weren’t meant to do life on our own. If you feel like you can only handle your own problems it’s because you are handling your problems on your own! Galatians 6:1-5; 1 Peter 4:8 Remember, if you see another Crosspointer who has jumped a guardrail, gently and humbly hook a winch up to their shorts and bring them back to the cross side of the road!

– The stage at Crosspoint, the video and the lighting has left the universe and gone to an absolute total new level of awesomeness!! Seriously. AJ Guptill, Brandon Ingraham, Mark Brewer, Chris Saad and anyone else who I might be forgetting have just blown me away. It looks amazing. We are blessed.

Amanda Collicott gave me the set lists, artists and albums of not only Sunday’s set, but every set form the Uprising conference. Here they are!

if someone had of told me over a year ago that I would spend an entire weekend in a church wowed by the power and awesomness we experienced this last weekend I would said they were nuts. But Yes ,this WAS wonderfully crazy and Natasha seems so touched by the HOLY SPIRIT I would not of been surprised if she had of floated off the stage:)I could never get tired of crosspoint and each time I attend I find a new face with a fresh smile!!!LOVE MY CHURCH! WAY TOO GO LADIES!!!!!
